Ready to pass?
The DVSA have updated their guidance to help more learners ensure that they’re ready for the driving test. There’s a very useful section that debunks some common myths about the test and is well worth a read. Take a look here
First time pass
Congratulations to Rory Walsh who passed his test in Salisbury today with just one driver fault. Rory took the test in his own car and no doubt did very well to navigate the rush hour traffic. I wish you well for the future Rory.
A long time coming
I’ve neglected the website lately but hopefully I can remember to update and post pictures of successful learners. I have a lovely new car which is fantastic to drive. I’ve had a quiet couple of months with barely any tests which is unusual but they’re coming thick and fast now which means there are limited spaces in the diary. Book online here
More passes
A few more learners have passed their tests in the last few weeks. Firstly, perpetually happy Grace Baaba passed in Trowbridge on May 17th with just a handful of driver faults. Grace works ridiculously hard as an NHS nurse in Salisbury hospital and can now enjoy a more comfortable commute to work.
Braidi Payne passed with just 2 driver faults in Salisbury on May 21st. Braidi nearly fainted when she found out the astronomical cost of insuring her splendid Fiat 500 but has hopefully regained consciousness by now.
I wish both Grace and Braidi all the very best for the future.
A pass for Ebs
Huge congratulations to Ebony Gunstone who passed her test in Chippenham this afternoon with just 4 driver faults. Between studying to be a midwife, caring for her brother, and working at Homebase, it’s surprising that she found time for lessons.
Ebony worked very hard to pass her test and is going to celebrate by eating a tub of ice-cream that she’s been saving.
I wish you well for the future Ebs.
Pass masters
Two first time passes in the last few days. Last Friday, Lottie Henley passed her test with just one driver fault (so close to a perfect drive!) Lottie is an ex-pupil of Mrs Wilkins and both my wife and I wish her well for the future.
Todays top learner was Chantelle Smith who passed first time in Chippenham with an excellent drive picking up just three driver faults. Chantelle was kind enough to be my star pupil when I took my standards check a few weeks ago and it was great to help her pass first time today.
Face masks
In line with the national removal of covid restrictions, it is now not a legal requirement to wear a face mask during driving lessons or tests. You are still free to wear a mask if you wish.
Availability
I will be away in Ireland from the afternoon of Thursday 10th March and will be returning on Monday 14th March. There might be a delay in responding to your messages during this time.
